‘Lethal Weapon’ season 1’s episode 16, titled “Unnecessary Roughness,” is set to follow Riggs and Murtaugh as they immerse themselves in college recruitment in order to investigate a murder of a football sensation. Meanwhile, Riggs and Palmer may be getting closer to one another.
The synopsis for “Unnecessary Roughness” posted on TV Guide reads, “Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) are drawn into the world of college recruiting while investigating a murder involving a high-school football phenom. In other events, Murtaugh contemplates a major change; and Riggs spends more time with DEA Agent Karen Palmer (guest star Hilarie Burton).”
The upcoming episode will follow Riggs and Murtaugh as they immerse themselves in the world of college recruitment as they investigate the murder that involves a popular high-school football star. The duo will learn that this seemingly innocent process from high school to college is a dirty and corrupt one.
Meanwhile, it seems that Murtaugh is thinking about making a big change in his professional life. Perhaps he is considering applying for a more high-paying job following his wife Trish’s (Keesha Sharpe) exit from the law firm.
His partner, however, has more personal things to take care of. Riggs may be making leaps and bounds in his personal life as he spends more time with DEA Agent Karen Palmer.
According to International Business Times, Riggs may be looking at their relationship in a whole new light. Perhaps he is considering going for the next level in their friendship.
Palmer was first introduced in season 1’s episode 7, titled “Fashion Police.” She returned in the previous episode, titled "As Good As It Getz.” Burton is best known for her role as Peyton Sawyer on the popular WB/The CW drama television series ‘One Tree Hill.’ She was also a host of MTV’s ‘Total Request Live.’
Episode 15 followed Riggs and Palmer get closer to one another while working together on an investigation connected to the Flores drug cartel. Riggs’ interest in Palmer became more obvious as the episode wore on.
‘Lethal Weapon’ season 1’s episode 16, titled “Unnecessary Roughness,” is scheduled to air on February 22, 2017 on Fox. It will be followed by episode 17, titled “A Problem Like Maria,” scheduled for March 8.
