‘Lethal Weapon’ season 1’s episode 13, titled “The Seal Is Broken,” is set to follow Riggs as he struggles to cope with grief on his wife Miranda’s one-year death anniversary. Meanwhile, Damon and Trish disagree on their son RJ’s future.
The synopsis for “The Seal Is Broken” posted on TV Guide reads, “A series of violent crimes targeting members of the same church is investigated. Riggs (Clayne Crawford), meanwhile, faces a moral dilemma when the one-year anniversary of Miranda's (Floriana Lima) death sends him to a new low; and Trish (Keesha Sharp) and Roger (Damon Wayans) disagree with RJ (Dante Brown) about his future.”
It seems that Riggs will be having a tough time in the upcoming episode. The Navy Seal-turned-police officer has been trying to cope with Miranda’s demise while assisting his partner Roger in their tough assignments in the force. Around the same time he became a cop, he met Miranda and she helped keep his life together.
However, when they were close to having their first baby, she was killed in a car crash. This sent him spiraling into depression. It would be interesting to see how he deals with balancing his personal and professional life.
Riggs and Roger will be investigating a series of crimes connected to the members of the same church. In the promo, the two are seen talking to a priest. The priest asks, “What do you want from me?” Riggs replies, “A confession would be nice.”
Meanwhile, the Murtaughs will get into a disagreement on their teenage son’s future. According to Yahoo! News, Roger and Trish may get into an argument about RJ’s relationship with his girlfriend – with one fine about it and the other disapproving of the romance. While details are yet to be revealed, it was confirmed that ‘American Idol’ alum Aubrey Cleland will be joining the cast in the upcoming episode.
Clenand’s role in the television series remains unknown but the promo suggests that she may be playing RJ’s girlfriend.
‘Lethal Weapon’ season 1’s episode 13, titled “The Seal Is Broken,” is scheduled to air on Fox on January 25, 2017. It will be followed by episode 14, titled "The Murtaugh File," scheduled for February 8.
