‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 3’s first details were recently released by The CW. It hinted that Rip Hunter may emerge as one of the season’s major antagonists following the disbanding of the original superhero team and the formation of Rip’s Time Bureau.
The first details of the highly anticipated third season of the American superhero series based on the characters from the original DC comic books have recently emerged. According to Digital Spy, there is a great possibility of a showdown between the Legends’ former leader Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his newly formed Time Bureau against the original members of the Legends. The superhero group had to split up as a consequence of altering history.
It seems that Rip will emerge as one of the Legends’ greatest nemesis in the upcoming installments. An excerpt from the official synopsis for season 3 posted on Blastr reads, “After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time!”
It was revealed that the group must figure out a way to return the anachronisms to their original timelines or risk altering time forever. Things will not be going as smoothly as planned especially when Rip and his newly created Time Bureau begin to doubt the Legends’ methods. It was also revealed that the Legends will be forced to disband but Sara (Caity Lotz) will work on getting the team back together.
The synopsis continued, “Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.”
‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 3 was renewed by The CW last January 2017.
