Lee Min Ho is a popular Korean actor who rose to fame after acting as the lead in the “Boys Over Flowers.” He enlisted in the army in 2017, and now his release date is just a little over two weeks away!
All healthy Korean men are required to serve in the army for two years; thus every male citizen should go, or they will be imprisoned for non-compliance. Many actors have completed their army duty, and Lee Min Ho is set to finish his time as a soldier soon. E! News reported that Bae Suzy’s ex-boyfriend is set to be discharged on April 25.
Lee Min Ho served in the army as a public service worker. He was not able to enlist in the active duty because of the injuries he got from his car accident in 2006. His foot was installed with metal plates, so he was deemed unfit for combat by Korea’s Military Manpower Administration.
Once released, Lee Min Ho has been rumored to star in “Heirs 2” with Park Shin Hye. This news came up after fans petitioned for Min Ho and Shin Hye to reunite again. However, there is no assurance that their reunion for a drama series is happening since the project is not even announced yet.
Park Shin Hye also debunked the stories that she will do “Heirs 2” with Lee Min Ho. But, with the fans requests, perhaps the bosses will hear the pleas and grant their wish.
Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho said that after his discharge, he would be part of a great project. "I'd like to come back healthy and make them (fans) happy again with a great project," he said before his enlistment.
But as Celebeat reported, the actor did not divulge any other information. While the “Heirs 2” is most mentioned for his comeback project, Lee Min Ho can still star in other dramas and movies like “Legends of the Blue Sea 2” and a reunion with Park Shin Hye but not in the “Heirs” drama.
