In 2018, the “Twilight” movie franchise celebrated its 10th anniversary. This might have prompted some fans to consider the possibility of seeing Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson together in another movie in the future.
The two met and fell in love while working on the “Twilight” movie series. Last year, Stewart and Pattinson were reportedly photographed talking to one another during Lily-Rose Depp’s birthday party. Many fans took it as a sign that there is no animosity left between them, especially considering the way their relationship ended (Clue: it involved a third party.)
However, on the question of whether Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart could star in another “Twilight” movie together, the shortest and most obvious answer is NO. There are various reasons why this could not happen in the near future or ever.
For one, the novel saga by Stephenie Meyer where the movies were based has concluded for good. All three titles — “Twilight,” “New Moon,” “Eclipse,” and “Breaking Dawn” — have all been made into movies. Pattinson’s Edward Cullen and Stewart’s Bella Swan have gotten their happily ever after and fulfilling their marriage vows “as long as [they] both shall live.”
When asked if the story of “Twilight” will ever continue, Meyer previously said she needed a complete break from working on novels about vampires. “I don’t feel like I will go back to Forks,” the author added. This just means that the release of a fourth “Twilight” movie is impossible, let alone seeing Pattinson and Stewart playing the same roles together. However, Meyer did release the book “Life and Death” which is related to the “Twilight” universe but practically serves as a parallel world to the setting were Bella and Edward existed.
Meanwhile, when asked about getting back on the “Twilight” universe, Robert Pattinson just joked about being always ready to play a 17-year-old vampire again, thanks to facial moisturizers. Kristen Stewart, on the other hand, confirmed she remained friends with her co-stars from the movie series but also did not show any interest in doing another “Twilight” movie.
