“Kingdom Hearts 3” is one of the most highly-anticipated video games set to be released early next year but this also meant that fan disappointment is something to fear. One recent example is Amazon’s attempt at hyping an announcement that failed to deliver the reciprocal goods. As a result, fans are now angry at the merchant giant despite the exclusive keyblade on offer.
There are a few things about this new “Kingdom Hearts 3” developer that needs to be unpacked, the first of which is the matter of Amazon overhyping the trailer that it released. Basically, if the company had simply released the clip without making it seem like it would offer something completely mind-blowing, it would have been fine.
However, Amazon did overhype the trailer and just as “No Man’s Sky” felt the wrath of fans by doing the same thing, gamer anger is boiling over on social media. Not only was the “Kingdom Hearts 3” just a shorter version of a previously-released trailer, it only announced an exclusive keyblade as a DLC. The backlash was so strong that Amazon was actually forced to issue a response via Twitter.
“Apologies, the KH3 video featuring our awesome new, exclusive DLC has been consumed by Heartless and not available. Learn what that DLC is, how to get it exclusively from Amazon, and score a Twitch Prime bonus on Monday, Nov. 26 around 1 pm PST,” the Tweet reads.

For context, Amazon is essentially blaming Square Enix for not providing it with the “Kingdom Hearts 3” trailer that it was expecting. This could be the merchant giant trying to deflect blame but it’s also possible that the video game developers did get lazy on the trailer creation.
“Kingdom Hearts 3” is scheduled for release on Jan. 29, 2019. They don’t need to get it from Amazon if they don’t want to.
