Kia Corp. released a teaser for its first dedicated all-electric model, the EV6, set for a global unveiling later this month.
The EV6 has a sleek, coupe-like roofline and a slight ducktail.
Kia plans to launch seven all-electric models by 2027, and the EV6, built on Hyundai Motor Group's Electric-Global Modular Platform or E-GMP, is the first in the lineup.
According to Karim Habib, head of Kia Global Design Center, they aim to create original, bold, and inventive electric vehicles and design the physical experience of Kia.
The group is morphing into a future mobility solutions provider and is shifting focus toward electrification.
Last month, Hyundai Motor Co., Kia's bigger affiliate, unveiled the IONIQ 5, its first model embedded with the E-GMP platform.
