Kellogg-owned Rxbar has released its first plant-based protein bar, available in chocolate chip and peanut butter variants, after nearly two years of product development.
Jenny Lindquist, Rxbar's director of experience planning, noted that they took the time to come up with a plant-based protein bar to make sure that it delivers on both quality and taste.
The bars contain 10g of a blend of pea and almond protein in place of egg whites and the other core ingredients of dates, nuts, and oats.
Lindquist added that their fans have been asking for a plant-based product for some time now.
The Rxbar Plant is now available via the brand’s website and would soon be sold in retailers like Target and Kroger.
