Katie Holmes was at the Serendipity in New York yesterday with Jamie Foxx and her mother as they celebrated the actress’ 40th birthday. The gathering was simple and charming as the three enjoyed sweet treats offered by the establishment.
Katie Holmes is usually spotted at the restaurant along with her daughter, Suri Cruise, as the establishment is apparently one of best dessert-makers in the city. The “Dawson Creek” alum was seen indulging a strawberry sundae, while Jamie Foxx and Kathleen Stothers-Holmes both ordered the frozen hot chocolate, the restaurant’s pièce de resistance.
While Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx arrived at the establishment together, they exited their car separately which they often do when they’re out in public. The pair has been seeing each other for five years but still hasn’t announced that they’re officially dating.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t stop tabloids from creating false stories about Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx. The latest of this comes from NW (via Gossip Cop) claiming that the duo will be getting married next year in Paris. The outlet even claims that Tom Cruise has blessed the union. Of course, the claim is nothing more than a fabrication since the outlet has time and again been busted about publishing stories that have no veracity to it.
For instance, NW wrote an article last month claiming the same thing minus the Tom Cruise angle. Now, it seems that the tabloid is recycling and adding more lies to the narrative, further tarnishing the outlet’s already frayed reputation. Gossip Cop said that they’ve reached out to Katie Holmes’ representative and was told that the actress isn't even engaged with Jamie Foxx.
For how could they? Both celebrities haven’t even acknowledged they’re an item. This isn’t to say that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx aren’t in love. They are. It’s just the two aren’t keen on having the media and the public scrutinize their every detail of their relationship. This is one of the reasons why they remain reserved about what exactly is going on behind closed doors and are content at following the unorthodox dating practices that worked for them all these years.
