Yet another wedding rumor has been published online claiming that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are going to get married early next year. The matrimony is supposedly going to take place in Paris as people in the country aren’t really paying attention to the stars’ celebrity status, NW (via Gossip Cop) reported.
Of course, this narrative is likely another unfounded story by the magazine as there are multiple factors contributing to the falseness of the claim. First is that Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes aren’t engaged.
Despite what the rumor mill peddled earlier this month, the pair has yet to take their relationship to the next level. The speculation sparked when Katie Holmes was seen wearing a diamond ring when she went out for a cup of coffee in New Orleans. It turns out that the bling is simply a prop for her film “The Secret” and didn’t come from Jamie Foxx.
Another factor is that the pair has time and again said they are not a couple. Although they are indeed seeing each other, Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes repeatedly denounced they’re officially dating. They each lead their lives separately but does make sure they see each other on a regular basis.
This sort of unorthodox way of dating has worked wonders for the relationship of Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes as evidenced by their strong bond five years after they started seeing each other. The third reason is their careers.
If they are indeed planning to get married, they’ll probably do so at a later date as both stars have their hands full at the moment. Katie Holmes is currently filming her movie “The Secret” and has also recently landed the lead role for the sequel of the horror film “The Boy 2.” Jamie Foxx is also in a similar boat as he’s to star with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in their yet to be named film.
Lastly is NW’s reputation. The tabloid as time and again published false reports regarding different celebrities, including the daughter of Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise. The publication’s piece last month claimed that Suri is angry at her mom for deciding that Jamie Foxx would be moving in with them. Of course, that was easily disproven and the pair isn’t still living under the same roof until now.
