Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes have been reportedly together for years now but fans rarely see them together in public. And, apparently, the couple wants to keep it that way.
Their goal of making their relationship as private as possible, however, does not stop them from spending time together. Just last Tuesday, Foxx was spotted exiting Holmes’s apartment in New York City. Judging from the bags he had in tow, it seemed like the “Django Unchained” star spent some summer days with his beau.
Holmes was later seen exiting her apartment as well. Again, this could be a hint that they do not want to feed paparazzi with chances of snapping photos of them together in a single frame.
PEOPLE reported that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx deliberately exit places like restaurants or her apartment separately. “Katie and Jamie are still careful about being photographed together,” an insider said. “Everyone knows they are dating, but they still want to keep it private.”
Eagle-eyed observers also took note of Holmes’s subtle way of supporting her boyfriend. On the same day, Holmes walked on the streets of NYC sporting a pair of Privé Revaux sunglasses from Foxx’s collection. InStyle noted that this is one of the rare but sort of public expressions of her support for Foxx.
However, it does not look like Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are planning to publicly address questions about their relationship anytime soon. "They still want to keep their relationship private. This is what has worked for them and what they are comfortable with. They aren't a couple who is going to stroll down the street holding hands," an E! News source previously said.
There have been very limited instances when Foxx and Holmes let their guard down in locations that would likely have prying eyes and photographers. For one, the couple was seen enjoying a summer day at a Malibu beach earlier this month.
Unfortunately, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx’s silence about their relationship is also often taken advantage of by media outlets to produce gossips. A report came out last June claiming that the couple planned to get married but eventually broke up because of trust issues. This was later denied by Holmes’s spokesperson, Leslie Sloane, calling the story “100 percent untrue.”
