Katie Holmes turned 40 on Dec. 18 and her boyfriend Jamie Foxx made sure that it would be a very special day for his ladylove. The “Django Unchained” actor knows that the former “Dawson’s Creek” star is very close to her parents so he also invited the celebrant’s mom, Kathleen.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Jamie Foxx brought Katie Holmes and her mom to the famous Serendipity café in New York to celebrate the latter’s birthday.
“Jamie took the ladies out to Serendipity for Katie’s birthday. It was so sweet, it seemed he like he really wanted to make the night special,” the tipster told ET. “Everyone got along great. Jamie is a gentleman and he knows how important Katie’s family is to her.”
Then again, it was said that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx did not go together as the actor went to the restaurant first followed by the mom and daughter duo. Kathleen was also seen like she was holding a cake prior to entering Serendipity, or perhaps, it was just a gift.
It was a night to celebrate Katie Holme’s birthday so everyone would assume that Suri Cruise also went with them but she was nowhere near the restaurant at that time. It was revealed that Tom Cruise’s daughter was left out because it was an adults-only event.
A few hours after they were photographed going to the famed resto for Katie Holme’s special day, the actress updated her social media with a photo of herself and the gift she got. Apparently, the image was also taken while they were dining at Serendipity.
“Thankful for my #family I love my beautiful birthday gift and celebration! she wrote on Instagram.
As can be seen in the photo, she received a bracelet and we can only assume that it was a gift from Jamie Foxx. Previously, Katie Holmes also prepared a birthday celebration for her beau but rather than dining out, she chose to cook for him and simply spend an intimate night in their home.
