“Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 12 is anticipated as the finale of the anime’s second installment, and fans are hoping it would end on another heartwarming note like the first season. The Cellphone Arc is the closest plotline that would fit that description as it puts Kaguya Shinomiya in the spotlight while highlighting how close she has gotten with her student council friends.
Kaguya finally gets a smartphone
One of the running storylines of the anime series is that Shinomiya, despite being immensely rich, is not well-versed in using modern technologies. She has the means to buy the most high-tech smartphone, but she chooses not to because she does not see the need for it. But if “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 12 features the Cellphone Arc, it is just another great way to highlight how much Shinomiya has learned to open up after being around Miyuki Shirogane and the rest of the student council.
This potential “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 12 arc started in the manga with revealing that Shinomiya had developed a habit of taking photos of her daily activities with her flip phone since joining the student council. Then, the Shuchiin principal asks the student council officers to be the models of the school’s next pamphlet. This even led to Shinomiya’s flip phone getting accidentally thrown off from the topmost part of the Shuchiin building.
There is no way to recover the files from the phone or repair it leading to Shinomiya and Hayasaka shopping for a smartphone in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 12. The following day, the student council officers realize that the vice president is acting strangely and seemed sad not knowing that Shinomiya is mourning the loss of the photos she took. Luckily, Shirogane saves her day.
After they all exchanged their Line IDs, the president starts a student council group. Fujiwara then opens a shared album where the five of them can all share their daily photos. “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 12 should then end on a similar note as the season 1 finale where, once again, Shinomiya achieves a meaningful personal milestone with the help of her friends.

The anime is expected to have just 12 episodes like it did in the first installment. This means that “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 12 should mark the show’s finale this year once it is released on Saturday, June 27.
