Anime-only fans may have been asking what made Ishigami the gloomy high schooler that he is. “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2, episode 11, should provide the answer as last weekend’s installment confirmed the arrival of a new character, who was at the center of Ishigami’s heartbreaking past.

At the very last minute of episode 10, a mysterious girl was shown who is not attending the Shuuchin Academy. She is named Kyoko Ootomo, who became close to Ishigami in middle school. But their relationship turned sour when he tried to protect her from a manipulative and cheating boyfriend. Anime fans should prepare to be angered by the demeanor of Kyoko’s boyfriend in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2, episode 11, which will only make them love Ishigami more.
Episode 10 showed Ishigami is slowly becoming more open to establishing friendships through the activities he joined in the Sports Festival. But he will be briefly side-tracked in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 11 upon seeing Kyoko in the crowd. Kyoko’s only purpose in watching the event is to taunt Ishigami.

Ishigami was slapped with a suspension that led to him missing the rest of the school year because he refused to write an apology letter. His schoolmates at the time bullied him while his relationship with his father got ruined. But “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2, episode 11, should also provide a satisfying turnaround once the student council investigates what happened to Ishigami, and Miyuki later shows Ishigami the support that he needed.
Of course, the student council’s efforts will not be completed without Kaguya’s tactics, although she will not go as far as making Kyoko suffer for Ishigami’s sake.
