Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s divorce proceedings reportedly made a huge progress this weekend. Both camps have reportedly reached an agreement on splitting their properties as well as on the custody of their three children.

TMZ reported on Saturday that both parties have reached an agreement on several important matters of their divorce. Garner and Affleck’s camps have finally settled the division of their properties. According to the report, this was one of the aspects that ate up a lot of time, implying that there was a huge amount of “fortune” to be considered.

What reportedly made the process even more challenging was the lack of a prenuptial agreement between the actors. Garner and Affleck needed to settle how they are going to split up their earnings and properties over the past 12 years.

Luckily for Garner and Affleck, resolving the issue on the custody of their three children appeared to be much easier. Reports have it that the estranged couple agreed to a joint custody of all three children without laying out a specified schedule.

Meanwhile, fans who have been in the loop since Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s separation in 2015 should know they have maintained a good co-parenting relationship. With that, the couple reportedly preferred to exchange custody of the children based on their schedules, which feels more organic than having a very specific timeline.

While the provisions of the said agreements have reportedly gotten the nod from both parties, necessary documents will only be signed after Affleck comes out of rehab. Then, these documents will be submitted to the court in the hopes of making the divorce move along.

Despite getting separated in 2015, Garner only filed for divorce from Affleck in April 2017. Since then, reports had claimed that not much progress had been achieved. Just a couple of weeks ago, there were even rumors that the judge threatened both parties to dump the divorce case if no settlement papers were to be filed soon.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner is obviously still helping Ben Affleck maintain his sobriety, most likely for the sake of their children. The “Justice League” actor has been struggling with alcohol abuse. He was recently spotted with Garner where they were supposedly driving to a rehab facility on the evening of Aug. 22. Affleck is expected to check out after 30 days.
