Ben Affleck entered rehab for the third time in August and his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner, apparently helped a lot in making that happen. But a tabloid-run gossip once again hit their relationship with claims that the “Alias” actress declared an ultimatum for the “Justice League” actor to be completely sober.
Gossip Cop called out a report from Woman’s Day that said Garner threatened to claim full custody of their three children if Affleck does not become sober after his 30-day rehab program. The tabloid further claimed that Affleck did not seem worried about Garner’s deadline and he is allegedly more concerned about his relationship with Playboy model and rumored girlfriend Shauna Sexton.
It can be recalled that Affleck was seen a couple of times going out with Sexton shortly before and after his breakup with Lindsay Shookus was confirmed. After entering rehab, Affleck reportedly continued seeing Sexton during his mini visits to his Pacific Palisades home. The 22-year-old model was also once spotted coming out of Affleck’s rehab facility.
Based on the latest news about Affleck and Sexton, it seems like their alleged budding romance was unaffected by his third rehab stint. But an earlier interview given by Casey Affleck had already debunked the Woman’s Day claims.
“Alcoholism has a huge impact on not just the person, but also their family,” the younger Affleck told Entertainment Tonight. “So, I think for his kids’ sake and for their mom, and for himself, he’s trying to do the work and get it together.”
Meanwhile, the claims made by Woman’s Day would also be in conflict with previous reports that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner finally reached a divorce settlement. About a week after Affleck entered rehab, the estranged couple reportedly resolved how to split their assets despite allegedly not having a prenuptial agreement. Affleck and Garner reportedly chose not to have a rigid schedule with regards to their agreed joint custody of their kids. Both parties are expected to finalize their divorce once Affleck is out of rehab later this month.
