Jennifer Aniston has been plagued by a lot of rumors throughout her career and this year isn’t any different. The latest whispers around the “We’re the Millers” actress is that she’s at odds with another “Friends” alum.
That alum is none other than Lisa Kudrow, the actress who played Phoebe in the classic sitcom. As NW (via Gossip Cop) would have it, Kudrow apparently feels abandoned that Jennifer Aniston doesn’t want to do a “Friends” reunion.
Courteney Cox, who played Monica in the sitcom, has also been dragged into the narrative. Cox and Jennifer Aniston are supposedly rejecting the idea of a reunion show. But judging by Kudrow’s last comment regarding the idea of a reboot, NW’s piece is likely another fabricated story.
In January 2018, a fake trailer for a “Friends” movie was posted on YouTube and managed to go viral. The clip has more than 14 million views at the moment and has created a wave of discussions on social media on a possible reboot of the sitcom. While Jennifer Aniston hasn’t commented on it, Lisa Kudrow was asked by Conan for her opinion on the stitched-together video when she guested on his show.
“I don’t know what to make of it,” Kudrow said. “It’s just like these weird clips from things that clearly have nothing to do with 'Friends,' and it’s called ‘Friends: The Movie.’” Clearly the actress isn’t keen on reviving the series. If this is the case, then why would she feel abandoned by Cox and Jennifer Aniston? The narrative just isn’t adding up.
And even if the gang ever gets together again, it would take some time before it takes momentum. All three actresses are busy with their own lives and projects. For instance, Jennifer Aniston recently wrapped up her Netflix movie “Murder Mystery” and is already slated to shoot for her next film, “First Ladies.”
Jennifer Aniston, Cox, and Kudrow also revealed that the three of them have remained close friends even after their sitcom ended in 2004. They’re even in the same group chat together.
What’s more, it seems that Jennifer Aniston also sought comfort in the familiar company of Cox and Kudrow when the “Marley and Me” actress broke up with Justin Theroux after being married for two years. Aniston was found leaving Cox’s Beverly home after the separation was made public, a clear sign that friction among the three women is non-existent.
