‘Jane the Virgin’ season 3’s episode 14, titled “Chapter Fifty-Eight,” will follow Rafael as he is caught in between Jane and Petra’s rivalry as the two women compete for the title of Room Mom. Meanwhile, Rogelio will enlist the help of Mateo to spy on Xo and Bruce.
The synopsis for episode 14 posted on TV Guide reads, “Jane (Gina Rodriguez) runs for Room Mom against Petra (Yael Groblas). Meanwhile, Alba (Ivonne Coll) seeks to impress her crush, but it doesn't go quite as she intended; Rafael (Justin Baldoni) tries to support both Jane and Petra; and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) finds a clever way to get info about Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Bruce's relationship.”
Jane is set to compete for Room Mom against none other than “perfect mom” Petra when she is consumed by guilt after realizing that she hasn’t been around much to love and care for her child Mateo (Aria Rose Garcia). Rafael will be caught in between the two-warring ladies as he tries to support both of them.
The promo for “Chapter Fifty-Eight” features Jane and Petra in what looks to be a mock presidential debate. Jane begins by saying, “We need a new surface for under the jungle gym. My plan? Sand.” Petra adds her own suggestions saying, “Rubber mulch.”
When Jane makes her counter argument, Petra insists, “Animals go to bathroom in the sand. Do you want our kids playing in squirrel feces?” Jane gets smug when she replies, “It helps build a healthy immune system.” It seems like the competition between Jane and Petra are about to get messy.
Meanwhile, Rogelio is intent on gathering some information about Xo and Bruce’s relationship. According to Christian Post, he will enlist the help of Mateo to do some snooping for him. It seems that Rogelio is doing everything he can to win back the love of his life and the mother of his child by going as low as spying on people.
‘Jane the Virgin’ season 3’s episode 14, titled “Chapter Fifty-Eight,” is scheduled to air on March 20, 2017 on The CW. It was directed by Melanie Mayron and written by Merigan Mulhern. It will be followed by episode 15, titled "Chapter Fifty-Nine,” directed by Anna Mastro and scheduled to be released on March 27.
