“Jane The Virgin” Season 5 will be tying a lot of loose ends to its plotline and most fans are focusing on the return of Michael (Brett Dier) who was previously presumed dead. There are a lot of fan theories being pitched out there and one of the most popular ones is Michael and his dedication to his profession.
But there are also other aspects in the show that is being explored by the series’ fan base and the narrator is among them. Although the narrator has a very distinct male voice, some fans are convinced that it’s actually Jane (Gina Rodriguez) who has been guiding the fans throughout this journey. It’s already been established that Jane is an aspiring author and it’s possible that all this time, audiences have been watching one of Jane’s story unfolds. This is especially true since the spin-off that was recently announced said that stories that will be included there are the novels written by Jane herself. So is it possible that “Jane The Virgin” Season 5 will reveal that this titular character is actually the show’s narrator all this time?
It could be. After all, CW has already announced that Rodriguez will be the narrator for the spin-off series. “Jane The Virgin” Season 5 could end by revealing that Jane is the narrator and that fans should watch out for more of her novels being adapted on screen. Not only will this blow the minds of the fans, but would also promote the spin-off in a unique and creative way. And of course, there’s also the breaking of the fourth wall, which would be the icing on the cake.
Another mind-blowing possibility to the narrator’s identity is if the show revealed him to be the grown version of Mateo (Elias Janssen). It’s totally plausible that he could’ve been reading the novel written by his mom all this time. Whatever the case, “Jane The Virgin” Season 5 will certainly have a lot of memorable moments for the fans, especially since it’s going to be the last installment for the series. The fifth season has been scheduled for release on the spring of 2019.
