Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson had worked separately since their “Fifty Shades” movie series have concluded in February 2018. Both stars already starred in a few films like “Untogether” and “Suspiria” and both films have been well-received.
While fans want them to do a movie together again, Jamie and Dakota continue to work in different projects. In fact, the actor is preparing for John Patrick Shanley’s movie titled “Wild Mountain Thyme.” This will pair him with Holliday Grainger as his love interest in a romantic story set in Ireland.
As per Variety, “Wild Mountain Thyme” is the film adaptation of Shanley’s Broadway hit “Outside Mullingar.” Grainger and the “Fifty Shades” actor will play “obstinate star-crossed lovers, whose families are caught up in a feud over a hotly contested patch of land that separates their two farms.”
Jamie Dornan is set to start filming this summer in New York and Ireland. The film will feature musical song pieces penned by Robert Tannahill and Francis McPeake and covered by Rod Stewart, Ed Sheeran, George Harrison and Van Morrison, Deadline reported.
Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson is currently on break and enjoying her free time with her boyfriend Chris Martin. Recently, she was also spotted spending time with Gwyneth Paltrow and Martin’s 14-year-old daughter Apple. The Daily Mail reported that the duo was spotted happily strolling and buying coffees in Malibu.
Dakota appeared in two films in the first quarter of 2019 - “Wounds” in January and “The Peanut Butter Falcon” in March. Truly, she is busy with various projects just like Jamie but her next movie is still unknown.
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson may still have a movie together since the clamor for their team up has not died down even a bit. The two stars already express willingness to star alongside each other again provided that a really good film is offered - not too sexy. This is because the former firmly stated in the past that he wants to break away from his Christian Gray character.
