‘Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 release date, spoilers: New illusion magic debuts with Angelina Kudou Shields
The release of “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 will mark the end of a more-than-half-a-decade hiatus since the franchise’s anime adaptation debuted. It is then only fitting for the next installment to be filled with new characters and new magic abilities to flesh out the entire plot.
To those not familiar with the same title light novel series, they may not have noticed that the first official promo video of “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 already showed new illusion magic. It is closely related to the reintroduction of a character who previously appeared in the franchise’s 2017 anime film.
‘Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 spoilers
The “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 promo video mostly revolves around the arrival of a new character named Angelina Kudou Shields, who prefers to be simply called Lina. If anyone thinks she looks quite familiar, that is because she was also featured in the 2017 movie “The Girl Who Calls the Stars.”
As avid fans know, the film featured a non-canon story making Angelina’s arrival in season 2, technically, her first official introduction. This explains why most parts of the “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 promo video is focused on Lina.
Hailing from the Kudou clan, Lina has access to the illusion magic called Parade that is discreetly featured in “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 promo video. Some may not have noticed it yet, but two identities of Angelina are included in the trailer. One is her in his ordinary appearance with blue eyes and blond hair, while the other is her second identity with red hair and golden eyes.
“Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 will likely explain more about the intricacies of the Parade magic and how it is more than just being able to produce a clone. For one, Lina’s version of this illusion magic is one reason why she is one of the strongest magicians and leads the USNA’s Stars elite unit.
‘Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 release date
Many fans thought that the “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 would never happen, especially after the premiere of the 2017 anime film. However, they were surprised last fall when the anime’s renewal was officially announced.
Now, fans will have to wait a few more months to see Tatsuya Shiba’s abilities further develop. “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 is confirmed to premiere sometime in July.
