After years of waiting, anime fans are finally seeing their wish become a reality as “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 gets its English dub. However, the official channel where fans can watch it is rather limited.
English-dubbed ‘Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 streams on Funimation
Not all anime shows get an English-dubbed version as most are released with just English subtitles to cater to fans outside Japan. But the announcement of the English-dubbed “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 is even more significant considering that the first season of the anime did not get the same treatment.
Funimation confirmed the news earlier this month. “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 with the English dub later premiered on the platform on Nov. 14.
As of this writing, “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 episode 1 is the only installment with the English dub on Funimation. More episodes should be released weekly, and episode 2 can be expected to become available on Saturday, Nov. 21. It should also be noted that the streaming services of Funimation are only available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

The official Twitter page of the series mentioned that the English-dubbed “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 would also premiere on Hulu. However, the Hulu Support page replied to one of the fans saying, “We currently don't have the streaming rights to the dubbed version of the show, but we'll definitely share your interest with our team.”
It is unknown if the “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 English dub would be released on other platforms, like Hulu, in the future. But those who are fine with English-subbed anime can watch the latest episodes on more platforms. Aside from Funimation, the season 2 simulcast is also available on Hulu. Episode 8 will be released on Sunday, Nov. 22.
‘Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 spoilers: What to expect
The episode count for “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 is still unknown, but it has been confirmed since last year that the second installment will only cover one story arc. The new episodes are based on Tsutomu Sato’s same title light novel volumes 9 to 11 that covered the three-part Visitor Arc.
The events in “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 follow the Yokohama Disturbance, more specifically the Scorched Halloween phenomenon that is linked to Tatsuya’s Material Burst ability. The USNA wants to know the person responsible for this string of events, so their government has sent Angelina Kudou Shields as an undercover agent attending the First Magic High.
