(NASDAQ:IDCC), a mobile technology research and development company, today announced that it will showcase its latest IoT Solutions at IoT Week Korea 2016 and the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) Industry and University Collaboration Forum (IUCF) 2016: Smart City and 5G Wireless.
IoT Week Korea 2016, which brings together a total of 12 events including the IoT Korea Exhibition from October 12 – October 14, 2016, aims to provide a complete understanding of the IoT industry for the general public. InterDigital will demonstrate the following use cases and applications for its platform, oneMPOWER™ powered by wot.io™, based on the oneM2M™ standard:
- Industrial Structural Health Monitoring: The company will demonstrate how Quest Integrity and Quest Integrated solutions combined with InterDigital’s platform facilitate cost-effective maintenance for oil and gas and other energy industries.
- Environmental Monitoring: The company will demonstrate how HARMAN’s IoT Suite and InterDigital’s platform, along with strong security and analytics services, enable innovative smart cities applications that include air quality monitoring and water and waste management.
- Smart Buildings: The company will also show how its platform working along with HARMAN’s IoT Suite can provide automation and efficiencies to commercial real estate environments.
- oneTRANSPORT Initiative: The company will detail how this pre-procurement commercial deployment involving eleven public and private partners is enabling multi-system transport integration across geographies covering 9 million people in the United Kingdom.
In addition to the demonstrations, Dr. Vanja Subotic, Director, IoT Product Management, InterDigital, will present: “oneTRANSPORT: oneM2M-Based IoT Solution for the Transport Industry” within the oneM2M™ Global Trend speaking section on October 13th.
Furthermore, ASTRI’s IUCF 2016 will bring together scholars and industry experts to explore key challenges that exist in the smart city as well as the new paradigm for 5G and IoT applications on October 17th in Hong Kong. Dr. Subotic will present and participate in the panel that explores key drivers for cities to adopt future smart mobility technologies.
