For more than the past decade, “Hunter X Hunter” has been known to have long stretches of hiatus. In fact, fans are experiencing another indefinite break now. This leads to many asking when will they see the story continue in “Hunter X Hunter” chapter 391.
Before the manga went on another hiatus before releasing “Hunter X Hunter” chapter 391, series creator Yoshihiro Togashi offered another great installment where the abilities of important characters in the current arc were showcased. To some fans, this just made the break more dreadful while others see it as a way to wait for the manga’s return with more excitement.
The manga started to have very long breaks in 2006. Since then, there have been no consistent release date windows for new chapters over the years. In fact, in 2015, Togashi did not drop even a single chapter throughout the year. So what can fans hold on to that it will not happen again and that they would be seeing “Hunter X Hunter” chapter 391 before 2019 ends?
Following the release of chapter 390 in November 2018, it was Togashi who had also announced that there is going to be another indefinite hiatus prior to releasing “Hunter X Hunter” chapter 391. “The storyboards for the next ten chapters are already done, so I'll get started again soon depending on various circumstances such as my health,” he wrote on Shonen Jump issue 52 last year.
If the storyboards for “Hunter X Hunter” chapter 391 to chapter 400 had been made in November 2018, this could mean that there are at least 10 chapters that would be released in 2019. There are even speculations that Togashi could be aiming to release up to 20 new installments this year.
Togashi’s health has been the main factor why the series creator has been needing long breaks in between working on the manga chapters. But he did promise in an earlier interview that he intends to finish the story of “Hunter X Hunter.” With all these in mind, fans could be confident that, at least, they are getting “Hunter X Hunter” chapter 391 this year.
