RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 31, 2018 -- Highwoods Properties, Inc. (NYSE:HIW) today announced that Anne H. Lloyd, 56, has been elected to join the Company’s Board of Directors effective January 31, 2018.
O. Temple Sloan, Jr., Chairman of the Board of Highwoods Properties, said, “With extensive experience as a public company executive and accounting professional, Anne’s seasoned skillset will serve Highwoods well. We look forward to the contributions Anne will make to the Company’s growth and shareholder value over the long-term.”
Ms. Lloyd served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. (NYSE:MLM) from June 2005 until her retirement in August 2017. She joined Martin Marietta in 1998 as Vice President and Controller and was promoted to Chief Accounting Officer in 1999. Ms. Lloyd is a director, chair of the audit committee and member of the corporate governance and nominating committee of Terra Nitrogen Company, L.P. (NYSE:TNH), a global leader in nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing and distribution. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a certified public accountant.
