When “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 returns for an all-new episode after Thanksgiving, viewers will find McGarrett’s (Alex O’Loughlin) team getting immersed to the world of superheroes and comic books. Meanwhile, McGarrett will be reunited with Joe White (Terry O'Quinn) in the following week.
“Hawaii Five-0” season 9’s post-Thanksgiving episode is titled “Mai ka po mai ka ‘oia’i’o” that translates to “Truth Comes from the Night.” The phrase is already sounding like a passage off of a comic book, which fits the main storyline.
The ninth episode will revolve around the death of a well-known urban vigilante. The teaser suggests the victim is hailed for a string of successful citizen arrests before meeting his or her demise. It is possible that the vigilante in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 was killed in some kind of symbolic method imitating comic book stories.
So, most likely, to gain an advantage or predict the killer’s next moves, McGarrett and the rest of the team will run to the nearest comic book shop for “research.” This is an unusual task for the team but leaked photos from “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 9 scenes suggest they are quite enjoying it.
Meanwhile, the next “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode will also tackle a more serious plot, specifically involving Adam (Ian Anthony Dale). He is getting closer to “finding out who killed his sister.”
Then, in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 10, Joe White returns for another round of action-packed quest with McGarrett. McGarrett’s Navy SEAL connections have put him in complicated situations. For one, he was arrested in episode 6 after forcing to investigate the death of a former Navy SEAL friend.
In “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 10, McGarrett and Joe are forced to leave Hawaii and hide in Montana. A certain group who were presumably their targets in a previous SEAL mission wants to take them out for revenge.
New episodes of “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 are released on Fridays. Episodes 9 and 10 will air on Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, respectively, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
