In commemorating Disney's 100th anniversary, global fashion retailer H&M is launching an exclusive line, 'Disney 100 X H&M,' designed by renowned artist and former professional snowboarder Trevor Andrew. Known for his distinct street art tag GucciGhost, Andrew reinterprets Disney's beloved characters into a unique, streetwear-inspired collection, making art, fashion, and inclusivity intersect in the wearable sphere.
Andrew reimagines Disney's beloved characters with great honor, bringing them to life in an experiential and wearable space that melds art, fashion, and inclusivity. Inspired by Andrew's passion for Disney and street art culture, the collection emanates an effortlessly cool vibe, featuring captivating all-over prints and Andrew's signature symbols, including the ghost and the flying egg.
Incorporating a diverse range of streetwear-inspired apparel, the collection offers a wide array of sweatshirts, hoodies, T-shirts, shirts, and long-sleeved polo, each adorned with various beloved Disney characters. Elevating the experience further, the collection presents standout accessories, including caps, socks, and boxer shorts.
Notably, H&M introduces its first-ever limited-edition skateboards, boasting unique artwork by Trevor Andrew, an avid skateboarder himself. These collectible skateboards feature a seven-layer maple plywood deck measuring 31" long and 8" wide. One style showcases an artful Disney logo hand-painted by Andrew, while the other highlights the iconic Disney characters.
Today, Trevor Andrew is an acclaimed LA-based artist, musician, filmmaker, and NFT creator, with his works showcased in galleries worldwide, including Deitch Projects, Milk Studio, One Trick Pony, HVW8, Parco Osaka, and the Modern Art Museum Shanghai. In 2019, Andrew launched his streetwear-inspired brand, Real Buy.
Ross Lydon, the head of menswear design at H&M, expresses his excitement for the brand's first-ever three-way collaboration. Together with Trevor, they delved into the enchanting Disney archives, culminating in a truly iconic and one-of-a-kind collection that captivates and delights.
