Miranda Lambert and her band Pistol Annies dropped their new song and it has an attention-grabbing title. It is called “Got My Name Changed Back” and everyone can see that this song is about Blake Shelton’s ex.
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s divorce has been finalized so the former legally got her name back. For people who have not heard the track yet, part of the lyrics reads: “It takes a judge to get married. Takes a judge to get divorced. Well, the last couple of years, spent a lotta time in court, got my name changed back.”
There is also this line in the chorus: "I don't wanna be a Mrs. on paper no more, I got my name changed back."
Although Miranda Lambert is clearly referring to her divorce with Blake Shelton, Hollywood Life reported that Gwen Stefani is not sure about that. The “Cool” singer does not view it that way, supposedly, with an insider reportedly saying, “Although it seems obvious the song is about Blake, Gwen doesn’t know for sure, but she hopes Miranda is not holding onto the past. Gwen would love to see Miranda find true love so she could focus on her own life, and move forward in a positive direction."
Moreover, the source said that Gwen Stefani was actually very chill when she heard the song because she knows there is nothing to worry about because Blake Shelton has moved on from Miranda a long time ago. It was added that Gavin Rossdale’s ex-wife is not threatened at all, not even one bit.
As for Blake Shelton, it was said that “The Voice” judge was not offended by Miranda Lambert’s new track. He reportedly even enjoyed the song and actually liked its old-fashioned country sound.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton clearly do not care about the song. They have moved on and are enjoying their relationship so much that they are not affected in any way. The couple has also publicly expressed their love for one another many times and it seems they are truly meant to be together.
