Not many economic dockets scheduled for today with moderate to high risk associated.

Data released so far -

  • Australia - unemployment rate dropped to 6%, with 42,000 added to payroll in May. Consumer inflation expectation dropped to 3% in June from 3.6% in May.

Upcoming -

  • China - China will release industrial production, urban investment and retail sales data for month of May at 5:30 GMT.

  • France - CPI inflation is scheduled at 5:30 GMT. Prior was 0.1% y/y, expected 0.3%. Current account balance for April is scheduled at 5:45 GMT.

  • Greece - Greece will declare unemployment details at 9:00 GMT.
    Previous rate was 26.1%.

  • Portugal - CPI for May will be released today. Prior 0.4% y/y, today 0.6%

  • US - Initial jobless claims data is scheduled at 12:30 GMT, along with retail sales. In April sales didn't grow on monthly basis, today it is expected that growth will hit 1.1% m/m in May. Terms of trade will be released at 13:30 GMT. EIA will declare natural gas inventory at 14:30 GMT.

  • Canada - New house prices growth will be released at 12:30 GMT.

  • New Zealand - Business PMI for April is scheduled at 22:30 GMT.

  • Auctions - Spain will auction 3 year and 5 year bind today. UK and US will be auctioning 30 year bond.
