Another action-filled, intensifying episode was brought to us by the team behind the hit TV series ‘Grimm’. This time, the gang’s mission is to take down the Luchador wrestler Goyo who mysteriously gets a thousand times stronger when wearing a wesen made luchador mask. Want to know how things turned out? Read on and find out on today’s recap of episode 13 “Silence of the Slams”.
Luchador wrestler Goyo (Joseph Julian Soria) is down in the dumps because he’s being paid to lose to his luchador opponent, El Mayordomo (Sal Guerrero), even though he knows he can win. Thus, in order to ensure his win on this fight, he calls on to his mask-making friend Benito who runs the Benito Masks.
But before they get into business, Goyo must agree to give Benito half of his earnings for every lucha libre match he wins and he must return the mask when he’s done with it. And what makes things shady is the fact that they have to seal the deal with blood. Shady, don’t you think? Nevertheless, Goyo, the fame wh*re that he is, agreed to the terms and pushed through with their arrangement.
Later that night, we see Benito confront a man in the act of mugging someone in an alley, and he tells the mugger he wants his face. The two got into a fight and Benito bites the mugger, paralyzing him so that he can cut his face off.
The next day, Goyo takes his customized mask with Benito’s reminder telling him to not wear it outside the ring. But obviously, Goyo did not heed his warning and after winning his fight, he got all pompous and wore it when he saw his opponent outside the ring. They ended up exchanging trash talks which resulted to Goyo killing him in a fight.
With the murder that he committed, Goyo heads home and makes even more terrible life decisions. He puts the maskback on and actually becomes the wesen. Unable to remove the mask, he’s thrown into a fit of rage and starts smashing everything in his house.
Good thing Nick and Hank was able to get to him before he can do further damage. Rosalee and Monroe then did the ritual to remove the mask off his face.
All’s well that ends well. So what can you say about the episode? Comment them below.
