Yet another leak of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL has surfaced online, two weeks before the company unveils the device to the market. The unveiling is scheduled for Oct. 9, which will take place in New York City with the event being called Made by Google.

While the leak is new, the information it contains is pretty much in line with previous reveals. The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have been some of the most leak-riddled devices in recent history, The Verge reported.

It’s still unclear how these devices made their way to the hands of ordinary people as Google hasn’t addressed this development with the press. As rumors would have it, however, the leaked Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL apparently came from the company itself. It’s speculated that someone from the inside managed to get hold of the devices and brought them out of the company.

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL then made their way to the Ukrainian black market where they were supposedly sold for around $2,000. One of the leaked handsets was apparently left in a car of a Lyft driver who took photos of the smartphone before returning it to its rightful owner.

The driver sent the snaps to Android Police, which reported about the matter. These photos revealed that the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have a huge notch at the top of their displays. This choice of design has created waves of complaints online as the notch blocks a part of the screen when a video is being played.

Another complaint is the supposed choice of the company to outfit the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL with a 4GB RAM. This concerns some smartphone enthusiasts as it’s believed that a small RAM is correlated to a performance decline eight to 10 months after purchase.

But both of these complaints are expected to be ignored if the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL outshine their predecessors in the camera department. The Google Pixel 2 was hailed as the smartphone with the best camera when it came out. So if the company manages to outdo itself in this regard then its consumer base will likely shrug off the RAM and notch design.

Besides, the notch also provides a unique functionality to the Pixel 3 XL. This functionality comes in the form of “Super Selfies” with f/1.8 and f/2.2 apertures. However, it’s unclear whether the base Google Pixel 3 model will have this feature and users will have to wait on Oct. 9 for any confirmation.
