‘Goblin Slayer’ Season 2 Plot, Characters: To Become Traditional Fantasy? Dark Elf and Goblin Horde

Goblin Slayer. Chibi Reviews/Youtube

To say that “Goblin Slayer” is an unconventional work fantasy fiction would be an understatement thanks to the many dark themes that it is based on. However, “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 might go a long way towards changing that by essentially coming with a more traditional plot. There will be a new character introduced as well as some peripheral ones that will take a more central role.

There is no doubt that “Goblin Slayer” is one of the most controversial anime programs out there, CBR noted earlier this month, but a lot of this had to do with misunderstandings. By the end of the first season, though, the controversy helped propel the anime to become one of the biggest in the industry. This is why “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 is practically a given.

On that note, one of the biggest issues has to do with the absence of more substance in terms of the story. A lot of the details in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will likely be based on the light novels, along with the spin-offs. However, the main plotline will likely involve the new character called Dark Elf and his army of goblins.

Fans of the show already know what these horrific creatures are capable of, so it makes a lot of sense for an entire army of them to pose massive threats. In “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, though, the goal is not to rampage with abandon. Rather, it is to revive the demon king who was killed by the three heroes who were peripherally featured in the previous season.

Speaking of which, there is also the matter of the trio of girls who defeated the ultimate evil in the anime being involved with Orcbolg. They will meet under tense conditions in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, and there will be a scuffle involved.
