“Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will be making bigger waves on its plotline as the anime will be introducing villains that are well beyond Orcbolg’s alley. Of course, with every big bad comes a horde of minions and, here, they will come in the form of the stapled goblin antagonists.
One of the most anticipated appearances in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 is the arrival of Dark Elf, a powerful and ambitious villain who’s a loyalist to the fallen Demon Lord. In the show’s source material, Dark Elf appeared during the Harvest Festival arc along with a host of goblins at his beckoning. The twisted antagonist revealed that he means to use the inhabitants of Frontier Town as a sacrifice to bring forth a forgotten giant from the age of the gods, Monster and Critics reported.
While Dark Elf will be making his first appearance in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, his schemes have already affected the series’ story in the previous installment. The goblins that were proliferating beneath the streets of Water Town was actually his doing. With the transportation mirror buried and the goblin’s rank reduced to a sorry state, that plan eventually crumbled.
So, in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, Dark Elf will be carrying out another ambitious advance and Orcbolg will personally deal with the villain himself. Throughout the Harvest Festival battle, this antagonist will ultimately fall to the combined attacks of Orcbolg and Elf Archer. Before he died, Dark Elf will realize that Orcbolg is the same adventurer who spoiled his plans for Water Town. This will, then, nicely close that plotline while simultaneously opening up another.
And speaking of another plotline, fans are hoping that “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will have double its episode compared to its predecessor. The desire centers on the inclusion of yet another character, one going by the name of Noble Fencer.
This noblewoman’s storyline is heartbreaking as she’s suffered in the hands of goblins before eventually getting rescued by Orcbolg and co. Scarred physically and emotionally, Noble Fencer’s story will revolve around her recovery and Priestess will help her in that endeavor. As for the release date of “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, there’s still no news regarding this front.
White Fox currently got their hands full at the moment creating two anime series that are slated to drop sometime this year. As such, fans should expect “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 to come out sometime in 2020, particularly on the fourth quarter of the year, Gamerevolution reported.
