‘Goblin Slayer’ Episode 7 has cranked up the thrill factor to 11 once again by trapping the party in an enclosed room. It would appear that the group that’s composed of expert adventurers, minus Priestess, has been outsmarted by goblins. Now, they are going to pay for it with the Goblin Slayer’s apparent death, as predicted by the sword maiden.
To be clear, “Goblin Slayer” Episode 7 showed viewers several aspects of the show’s world in a way that many might have overlooked. For starters, it showed how effective goblins can be when used by someone who actually knows real tactics. The result is Goblin Slayer getting beaten by a Goblin Champion. Viewers can see this for themselves when they check out the episode at Crunchyroll.
In any case, it would appear that most of the party has come out unharmed in this particular encounter, with the High Elf only suffering from a loss of clothing. However, Priestess might come away from this experience with another notch in her trauma belt after the Goblin Champion gnawed a huge chunk out of her arm. “Goblin Slayer” Episode 7 was definitely a bloody episode.
As for the fate of Goblin Slayer himself, “Goblin Slayer” Episode 7 ends with him coughing up blood and collapsing. Not exactly a surprising development considering he took a direct hit from the Goblin Champion’s blow and then landing on a coffin. Adding the fact that the sword maiden might have predicted his death and it would seem that things are not looking good for everyone’s favorite goblin hunter.
On that note, this is not the last of the dangers that the group will be facing. Following “Goblin Slayer” Episode 7, they’ll likely need to face another, even bigger threat that provides a clue as to the origins of goblins. Based on the fan discussions over at Reddit, many are simply thankful that Priestess is alive. The question now is if this will remain the case in the upcoming episodes.
