‘Girl Meets World’ season 3’s episode 21, titled "Girl Meets Goodbye," will follow Topanga as she struggles with making decisions for the imminent move to London following her promotion. Riley will also have to prepare herself for farewells.
The incoming episode will focus on change as well as relationships. In the preceding episode, Topanga’s news that she has been named a partner for the London office of her law firm threatened to split best friends Riley and Maya apart. Topanga previously advised her daughter Riley against deciding to attend the same college as her best friend, and it seems that Riley’s plan will really be a bust following her mother’s promotion.
Topanga would struggle with the decision to pursue a job opportunity in a new city and may need to seek advice from her friends, family, as well as old teachers.
Episode 21 will also feature one of the show’s largest cast reunions of the original ‘Boy Meets World’ series. According to TV Line, season 21 will feature a host of familiar faces including William Daniels as Mr. Feeny, Anthony Quinn as Mr. Turner, Rider Strong as Shawn, Will Friedle as Eric, William Russ as Alan, Betsy Randle as Amy, Lee Norris as Minkus, and Danny McNulty as Harley. Of course, the reunion wouldn’t be complete without Ben Savage as Cory and Danielle Fishel as Topanga.
It seems that some of the characters would help Riley in her decisions as she prepares to bid farewell to her own friends considering the move to London with her family.
Meanwhile, the cast of ‘Girl Meets World’ released a special message to fans of the coming-of-age sitcom in a new featurette. According to Variety, the video featured creator Michael Jacobs together with Savage, Rowan Blanchard, and Sabrina Carpenter.
It was recently confirmed that the series would end its three-season run on Disney Channel. However, Jacobs revealed that early talks of a possible season 4 have already commenced in another network. According to E! News, Jacobs told TV Line, "There are talks underway, but we're at the very very beginning stages.”
He continued, “And I can tell you it's because of the audience's reaction to the cancellation that there is interest in other places. For anyone in show business, if you ask them why they're doing something and they say they're doing it for themselves, they won't sustain long. Those that answer ‘We're doing it for the audience' and mean it, they sustain."
‘Girl Meets World’ season 3’s episode 21, titled "Girl Meets Goodbye," is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel on January 20, 2017. It will be the final episode of the series.
