“Game of Thrones” season 8 is coming and it was revealed that “The Winds of Winter” author George RR Martin has been invited to appear in a cameo role for the last run of the series. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss asked the author to come to Ireland because they want him to appear in the drama but he refused.
This information was personally revealed by George RR Martin himself. Via an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the famous author shared his reason for turning down the cameo role on “Game of Thrones” season 8.
"David and Dan invited me to a cameo in one of the final episodes, which I was tempted to do," Martin told EW. "But I didn't think just for the sake of a cameo I could take the time to return to Belfast."
George RR Martin seems to be saying that he said “no” because he still had other more important things to do like finishing the sixth book in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series. When the “Game of Thrones” season 8 contacted him, he was apparently deep at work in his New Mexico home.
Meanwhile, Screen Rant suggested a potential spoiler for “Game of Thrones” season 8. The publication wrote that the Starks that include including Jon Snow, Arya, Sansa, and Bran may actually be descendants of White Walker.
But, do they really have the have a White Walker bloodline? The outlet stated that this theory that can be one of the big reveals in “The Game of Thrones” season 8 came about due to some evidence that can be found in George RR Martin’s “ASOIAF” novels. It added that the theory was first mentioned by the YouTuber whose profile name is Alt Shift X.
“Game of Thrones” season 8 is the series final installment and it will premiere on April 14 on HBO.
