The much-awaited “Game of Thrones” season 8 is coming soon and before it finally arrives there were many speculations as to what will happen in the drama. Moreover, this is the series’ finale so predictions and spoilers are also rife with some of them coming directly from the show’s stars, production team or even George RR Martin.
In fact, the famous author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” where the “GoT” series was based from, recently revealed a potential hint about a shocking twist in “Game of Thrones” season 8. In a report on Celebrity Insider, it was said that George RR Martin hinted that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) could be Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) killer and this will be shown in the finale.
This is possible since Jon Snow will return to Winterfell in the early part of “Game of Thrones” season 8. Now, it was said that 70-year-old author dropped this big hint when he released his book about the history of the Targaryen family. On Nov. 20, he launched “Fire and Blood” which was described to be like a supplement book for the “ASOIAF” series since it provides an extensive background of Targaryen.
While it cannot be confirmed yet if the suggestion about Jon Snow killing Daenerys Targaryen is accurate, this can happen because of the plot’s unpredictable storylines. In any case, another prediction is that Khal Drogo is coming back to “Game of Thrones” season 8 in order to take down the Night King.
With that said, it seems to suggest that Jason Momoa may have filmed some scenes for “Game of Thrones” season 8 but it was not revealed to the public. Perhaps, this is to make the series’ finale more exciting and shocking enough that fans will never forget its ending. George RR Martin’s loves to add surprising twists in his stories as much as he likes killing off many characters. Thus, the theories and predictions stated above are not impossible.
“Game of Thrones” season 8 has no exact premiere date yet but HBO recently confirmed via social media that it will arrive in April 2019.
