Right now, there are a lot of speculations surrounding “GTA 6,” specifically with regards to whether or not the game is even in development. While a recent clue to this point did make waves, it might be entirely possible that the title is not being worked on right now. Then again, there have also been points brought up for what the likely features of the online multiplayer could be, including a death race.
As PCGamer recently reported, a concept artist’s resume recently made headlines because of how it supposedly confirms the development of “GTA 6.” However, this is simply not necessarily the case, especially considering that the source is someone from a branch location. It is entirely possible that the whole thing could have been a mistake and publications were simply jumping the gun.
For now, the only thing that anyone really knows about “GTA 6” is that it will eventually come out. With “GTA Online” doing quite well, at the moment, there really is no incentive for Rockstar to rock the boat, as it were. If it ever does come to the market, though, one of the features that fans are clamoring for is a mode that focuses simply on the kind of death race reminiscent of the “Burnout” series.
Fans of the shelved racing franchise will remember the fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping action of the titles where the destruction of vehicles was elevated to an art form. Considering the nature of the franchise, having such a mode in “GTA 6” would certainly make a lot of sense.
The mode would basically involve racing other players in a course that encourages using deadly force. There could also be a revenge system that the “Burnout” series employed, thus leading to even more exciting races. These and more being added to “GTA 6” can make a game already bound for success even more appealing to players.
