Since “GTA 5” is approaching its sixth year anniversary, it’s no surprise that fans of the franchise are asking questions about the next entry. So far, however, Rockstar has yet to break their silence about “GTA 6” and the plans they have for the title going forward.

As such, most of the news surrounding the next title is coming from rumors. One particular narrative that’s been touched upon by the franchise’s fan base is the potential protagonist of “GTA 6.” There are three rumors that have emerged from this discussion, GTABoom reported.

First, “GTA 6” will apparently have multiple protagonists. If Rockstar goes this route, it wouldn’t be surprising since the fifth entry offered three options to choose from. This time, however, it’s touted that there will only be two. What’s more, they’re going to be male and female.

Second, the pair will allegedly be voice by Ryan Gosling and Eve Mendes. Of course, people should take this information with heavy skepticism given that Rockstar isn’t the type of studio to bring in popular Hollywood icons. Part of the reason for this is that it might break a player’s immersion when they’re playing “GTA 6.”

Indeed, “Death Stranding” is already experiencing this discontent after some players voiced their concern about how it feels “weird” playing as Norman Reedus. As for the third rumor, the male and female protagonists of “GTA 6” will apparently be polar opposites of each other – one being a cop and the other a career criminal.

Players will have the option to control both characters throughout the story as the plot unfolds toward its conclusion. Having said all of these, it’s best to take this information with a grain of salt given that Rockstar hasn’t announced anything about “GTA 6.” Even the release date for the title remains unknown until now, with speculations ranging between 2020 and 2022.
