Fundamentals to watch out for this week

In terms of volatility risks, this week is light with the focus PMI numbers and U.S. payroll data,

What to watch for over the coming days:

Central Banks:

  • Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell’s speech scheduled for Tuesday. He would be testifying for two days before congressional committees beginning Wednesday.  
  • Bank of Canada (BoC) will anno9nce monetary policy decision on Wednesday.

Economic data:

  • China’s money supply/loan statistics on Tuesday, PPI and CPI inflation report on Wednesday, and trade balance numbers on Friday.
  • United Kingdom’s manufacturing and industrial production numbers on Wednesday.
  • German HICP inflation report on Thursday.
  • U.S. CPI inflation report on Thursday, and PPI inflation report on Friday.

Geopolitics:

  • Euro group would hold a meeting on Monday.  
  • Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to meeting President Trump in Washington on Wednesday.
