WinFuture, a long-time reliable source of leaks about upcoming tech products, has reported that the Fossil Gen 6 will be powered by the 12nm Snapdragon 4100+ from Qualcomm. It has been more than a year since this chipset was announced, but it should still be a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 3100 that powers the Fossil Gen 5.
The reported Fossil Gen 6 chipset is equipped with four cores of ARM Cortex-A53 clocked at up to 1.7GHz. Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 4100+ performs 85 percent better than its predecessor.
The Snapdragon 4100+ uses the Adreno 504 GPU that will power the Fossil Gen 6’s display. The smartwatch will reportedly be available in 42mm or 44mm models with a 1.28-inch OLED display and 416 x 416 resolution.

The Fossil Gen 6 is expected to offer a much-improved battery life of up to 24 hours per full charge. However, the same source notes that the Snapdragon 4100+ comes with a power-saving technology that could allow the watch to remain on for several days. The device can be fully charged in an hour or up to 80 percent in 30 minutes.
The usual health-tracking features are likely to be retained in Fossil Gen 6, including steps counter, sleep tracker, heart rate monitoring, and spO2 blood oxygen level. The device also comes with a built-in GPS, Bluetooth 5.0 and is likely to detect various workout modes.

As for its pricing, if the Fossil Gen 6 launches in Europe, the publication reports it could be priced between 299 to 329 euros or around $349 to $385.
