WinFuture, a long-time reliable source of leaks about upcoming tech products, has reported that the Fossil Gen 6 will be powered by the 12nm Snapdragon 4100+ from Qualcomm. It has been more than a year since this chipset was announced, but it should still be a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 3100 that powers the Fossil Gen 5.
The reported Fossil Gen 6 chipset is equipped with four cores of ARM Cortex-A53 clocked at up to 1.7GHz. Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 4100+ performs 85 percent better than its predecessor.

The Fossil Gen 6 is expected to offer a much-improved battery life of up to 24 hours per full charge. However, the same source notes that the Snapdragon 4100+ comes with a power-saving technology that could allow the watch to remain on for several days. The device can be fully charged in an hour or up to 80 percent in 30 minutes.
The usual health-tracking features are likely to be retained in Fossil Gen 6, including steps counter, sleep tracker, heart rate monitoring, and spO2 blood oxygen level. The device also comes with a built-in GPS, Bluetooth 5.0 and is likely to detect various workout modes.
