The fight against Avatar is about to start now that their base has been located. As seen in the “Fairy Tail” Episode 281 preview, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy will meet Gray for the first time since they went their separate ways in the aftermath of the Guild War against Tartaros. However, the Fairy Tail mages will have to overcome some obstacles before they have their little reunion.
In “Fairy Tail” Episode 281, the trio will attempt to infiltrate Avatar’s base, but Natsu didn’t go along with the plan. Instead of staying quiet, the hot-headed mage decided to scream Gray’s name. Now the enemy knows that they are inside.
The first opponent they encounter is a mage named Abel. He doesn’t look threatening at all, but Lucy becomes frightened when she notices that Abel is holding the Mr. Cursey voodoo doll that used to belong to Grimoire Heart member Kain Hikaru. Well, Abel didn’t last long as Natsu takes him out with a single punch.
Goumon will also arrive in “Fairy Tail” Episode 281 and he attacks Natsu after he sees Abel on the ground. Natsu easily overpowers Goumon, but the Avatar mage has something up his sleeves. While Natsu is distracted, Goumon telekinetically attacks the Fire Dragon Slayer and traps him inside an iron maiden. However, Natsu’s not down for the count as he melts the iron maiden and defeats Goumon. D-6 is easily defeated as well when he gets there.
“Fairy Tail” Episode 281 will show that Natsu has improved by leaps and bounds since the time skip and he is just too strong for the Avatar mages. However, Gray will finally arrive and take on Natsu himself. As expected, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy will try to talk Gray into rejoining the Fairy Tail guild, but the ice mage will tell them he is not interested. “Fairy Tail” Episode 281 is scheduled to air on Oct. 28.
