Natsu has been out of the fights in the past couple of episodes after it was discovered he has a very serious illness. However, the teasers for “Fairy Tail” 2018 episode 22 clearly hint he will be back and will play an important role in taking down members of the Spriggan 12.
It can be recalled that Zeref formed the Spriggan 12 to serve as a group of elite forces to protect him and carry out his plans. This explains why the earlier episodes since the Alvarez Empire attacked the protagonists, the Guild has been fighting off a new opponent from time to time. For “Fairy Tail” 2018 episode 22, another Spriggan will be causing trouble at the Guild.
Natsu is expected to wake up in “Fairy Tail” 2018 episode 22 and regain his strength in time to fight Jacob Lessio. The main protagonist had a tumor due to overusing his powers for years. He was immediately healed but remained unconscious at the infirmary.
Jacob is a very complicated opponent because of his Stealth and Transport power. Natsu will wake up in the middle of an ongoing battle with Jacob and will find out that the latter already caused severe damage at the Guild. Dragneel will initially find it difficult to land an attack on Jacob because of his ability to instantly vanish from his current position and move to another location.
The brief preview for “Fairy Tail” 2018 episode 22 also indicates that some of the comedic scenes from the manga will be featured in the anime. For one, Jacob can control what his target can see, so he forces Natsu to stare at a half-naked Lucy. However, Natsu argues that trick will not work on him because he is now used to seeing Lucy in skimpy clothes. Lucy, despite feeling embarrassed, will notice that Jacob is also negatively affected by the trick he used on Natsu.
Another Spriggan 12 member, named August, might not actually appear in “Fairy Tail” 2018 episode 22 but will be mentioned as a potential fearsome opponent in the upcoming episodes. The next episode will drop on Sunday, March 10.
