There’s less than six weeks before Errol Spence Jr, and Shawn Porter collides in the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Both fighters look ready to go at it on Sept. 28 and the hype surrounding the match is picking up.

Errol Spence Jr said that he’s looking for a stoppage again, while Porter is likely aiming for a similar goal. The Truth is currently on a mission to make himself a household name and fighting Porter is one of the stepping stones to achieve that accomplishment.

At 29 years of age, Errol Spence Jr has sculpted a deadly resume, with 25 wins and 0 losses. 21 of those victories came by way of knockout.

Errol Spence Jr may be too much against Manny Pacquaio

In 2017, he took the IBF title from Kell Brook after knocking him out on the 11th round. A year later, Errol Spence Jr successfully defended the belt against Lamont Peterson and Carlos Ocampo. He dismantled Peterson in the fifth and ultimately finish him on the seventh, while Ocampo succumbed to the flurry of body punches in the first round.

It’s for this reason that Manny Pacquiao’s camp is hesitating to fight Errol Spence Jr. The 40-year-old has been spectacular against Keith Thurman in July but The Truth would be too much for him. Even Freddie Roach expressed his concerns about the match, Forbes reported.

Errol Spence Jr also looking to fight Terrence Crawford in the future

Errol Spence Jr has time and again said he’s highly interested in fighting the Filipino slugger but that’s unlikely to occur. In the meantime, Terrence Crawford is also being billed as Spence’s next opponent as the fight would undoubtedly result in a classic. Timothy Bradley previously accused Spence of ducking Crawford but the 29-year-old dismiss this allegation, adding that Crawford is indeed among the fighters in his list of future opponents.

“Like I said, I’m gonna get these belts over here and then I’m gonna come take Terence Crawford’s belt because I said I’m gonna be undisputed welterweight champion of the world. So the only way to make that happen is to take [Crawford’s] belt so, I mean, nobody is avoiding him,” Errol Spence Jr said. Of course, he’ll need to dispose of Porter after that. Spence is currently the favorite to win the fight as the odds are saying that he’s a minus-900, according to the numbers of Odds Shark.
