Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are allegedly having their first baby. Based on the report, the child was conceived through an IVF procedure, but male donor’s identity remained a mystery. Currently, the pair are said to be browsing for baby names already.
In a report that appeared on OK! Magazine, it was claimed that it would be Portia who will carry the child in her womb. Although the dad’s identity is being kept a secret, it was stated that he is a famous comedian. Moreover, Ellen and her wife are said to be considering naming their child after Jennifer Aniston and Orlando Bloom, depending on the gender.
However, Gossip Cop is debunking this report after someone close to Ellen DeGeneres relayed that the whole story is false. The source also pointed out that the “Ellen Show” host has repeatedly said in interviews that she does not want to have children and Portia De Rossi has the same view as her wife.
In her talk with The Daily Telegraph, Ellen said, “We talked about it for a minute, about four years into the relationship, but we just decided we like our conversations not being interrupted and our furniture without sticky grape juice on it.”
An this is not all, in 2012, the popular TV host told Jay Leno via the latter’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” that she and Portia have no plans to have a child.
“I’ve said it so many times: We are not going to have a child. And the tabloids say that we’re looking for the right donor. I don’t want to have one,” Ellen told Jay via (The Talko). “I don’t want to have six. I don’t want to have any. They’re precious to look at and I love them; we have nieces and I love them very much but I don’t want ’em.”
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi like kids but they do not want to have their own, and they said this not once but many times before. Clearly, the report by OK! Magazine is baseless and may have been written for the simple reason of creating “controversy.”
