Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi 2018: Will Model Join Host on Her Comedy Tour?

Ellen DeGeneres has long been an advocate of protecting the environment. As the popular talk show host is soon to celebrate her 10th anniversary with her wife, Portia de Rossi, the two set out to Africa to escape the fast-paced life in the city, ET Online reported.

Portia de Rossi shared numerous photos on Instagram detailing her trip with Ellen DeGeneres. The photos were incredible and highlighted the beauty of the second largest continent on the planet.

During their stay, they traversed rivers and green plains, riding on the standard truck that tourists mostly ride on when exploring the country. In one shot, Ellen DeGeneres is even seen posting behind a silverback gorilla, an incredible experience for the talk show host for sure. For her part, Portia de Rossi wasn’t just admiring Africa’s plains and wildlife but also took photos of Ellen during the trip.

Following their vacation, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were seen enjoying some comedy at Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. The two were photographed after the show, which showed both had a bit of sunburn, most likely the result of their trip to Africa.

And speaking of comedy shows, Ellen DeGeneres is reportedly going to return as a standup comedian. According to Just Jared, the talk show host will be hitting the road this summer in areas including Seattle and San Diego. It’s still unclear whether or not Portia de Rossi will be tagging along with her wife when Ellen starts touring.

This string of performances will be the first for Ellen DeGeneres after fifteen years of being absent from the stage. Her show in Seattle will be taped for her first Netflix comedy special, which was announced last year. Ellen and Portia de Rossi have been a strong influence for same-sex couples to be finally embraced by society and their 10th anniversary is a testament that same-sex marriages aren’t different from traditional marriages.
