Despite what the ending of the show’s sixth season might have led many to believe, “Elementary” Season 7 is already in production. However, details about the show’s upcoming season are slow to leak, and it can be difficult to get a feel for what fans can expect. Fortunately, there have been at least some clues that have allowed the piecing together of likely scenarios. This includes an event that could force the gang to reunite whether they like it or not.
As a recent post by Otaku Art shows, there are still a lot of uncertainties surrounding the matter of “Elementary” Season 7 despite the fact that it has officially been confirmed. The Sherlock Holmes-inspired series will be coming back, with Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Lui reprising their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson.
There should not be any doubt with regards to this fact. The show has not been canceled, and despite the lack of an official announcement of the premiere date, it’s practically guaranteed to air. So fans can rest assured now: “Elementary” Season 7 will be happening, whether anyone wants it to or not.
Speaking of wants, executive producer Rob Doherty recently spoke with TV Line to give a preview of what “Elementary” Season 7 will entail. The gang will reunite, but only because something will happen that will force them to do so.
“Sherlock, Joan, Gregson and Bell form this very non-traditional family unit, and as the seventh season begins, there’s going to be a ‘family’ crisis,” Doherty revealed. “Events will transpire that will force them to put smaller problems behind them and really come together again as that unit.”
“Elementary” Season 7 is already deep in production, which means that its premiere date will most likely be in 2019. Previous seasons aired between September and November, so it’s likely that this upcoming premiere will follow the same pattern.
