The good news is that the “Elder Scrolls 6” release date is definitely coming though fans might have to wait a bit longer. But once it arrives, players will enjoy playing the game for years to come.
“Elder Scrolls 6” release date
The good news is that Bethesda already announced “Elder Scrolls 6” during its E3 2018 presentation which means that the title is already in the works, as reported by GamesRadar. However, the publisher also announced that it will only arrive after the release of its sci-fi RPG “Starfield.”
Unfortunately, “Starfield” will be released either in 2020 or 2021. Taking this into consideration, the “Elder Scrolls 6” release date would be in 2021 at the earliest.
Gamers are going to enjoy it for a decade
Meanwhile, Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard teased something about the game during an IGN interview last July 2019. According to the exec, gamers are going to enjoy “Elder Scrolls 6” for as long as they did “Skyrim,” which has been around for eight years now and remains just as popular as ever, according to GamesRadar.
“I know people joke about it [Skyrim]online, but it's one of the best-selling games on Switch,” Howard said. “Anything we put it out on, it becomes a hit game. And they love it, they still play it, it's almost infinitely playable, all of the mods and everything like that. And we're 8 years post-Skyrim.”
Howard said that just like “Skyrim,” the “Elder Scrolls 6” is the kind of game that people will enjoy playing even after a decade. “It lets us know going into Elder Scrolls 6 that this is a game we need to design for people to play for a decade at least, at least,” the Bethesda director added.
“Elder Scrolls 6” location
Meanwhile, someone might have already discovered where the game’s location might be set. “I used my professional photography software to clear up and enhance a picture from the 30-second trailer from E3 so I could try to figure out the next game setting (it's been 8 yrs since Skyrim they should at least give us a location),” kaylenivy posted on Reddit. “After lots of comparing and research, I'm 99% sure its Hammerfell.”
But for GameRant, Hammerfell is just one of the possible locations that the game could be set. The publication also offered High Rock and Valenwood as possible locations as well.
