“Dragon Hall Heroes” Episode 6 will be airing on Dec. 22 with the battle between Fu, Xeno Goku, and Xeno Vegeta starting off the upcoming release. Although no confirmation has been announced by the studio, it’s expected that the sixth episode will have all three fighters battle it out with Fu ultimately winning.
After that, Goku will then step into the plate to battle the demon scientist. However, since Goku couldn’t even stand against Cunber, he’s going to need more than his current power to be able to go toe to toe with Fu. And it’s during these insurmountable odds that the show will likely introduce Ultra Instinct. It’s already been confirmed that the heightened mental state will be featured in “Dragon Hall Heroes” Episode 6. Exciting as this may be, other fans are concerned at the possibility of more episodes coming up in the future.
Although nothing is set in stone, it’s speculated that the upcoming release will be setting the groundwork for more stories in 2019. And this could be detrimental for the franchise’s universe going forward since the series has been made as a promotional stunt for the “Dragon Ball Heroes” card game. Indeed, the animation of the show has been one of the things that have been criticized by fans. And with “Dragon Hall Heroes” Episode 6 featuring yet another battle with little plotlines within its workings, it’s understandable that some fans aren’t too fond where this show is going.
While the “Dragon Ball Z” saga isn’t necessarily focusing on strong narratives to keep fans interested, storytelling is still an integral part of the show’s overall performance. After all, the writers still need to build enough tension before a battle occurs in order for audiences to feel invested in the conflict’s outcome. But with “Dragon Ball Heroes,” no such buildup has been seen and the plotlines have been thrown out the window altogether. So should “Dragon Hall Heroes” Episode 6 be the end for this glorified commercial? Or should the writers behind the series continue with their work?
Right now, episode length and plotlines are two major concerns that writers need to address. Exploration of the Time Patrol and Fu’s background is one of the most interesting avenues that showrunners can track with Goku and Vegeta acting as guides for audiences. But Goku will still need to defeat Fu in “Dragon Hall Heroes” Episode 6 before they could move forward with this Prison Planet Arc, a story that’s quickly becoming stale.
