‘Diablo 3‘ Season 18 release date: Should Blizzard implement a Pylon/Shrine expansion?

“Diablo 3” Season 18 is still a few months away, and the game’s player base is expecting a lot from the upcoming expansion. While Blizzard has yet to announce a theme for it, many have already suggested their own versions of what they want to see.

One of the most intriguing among them is placing emphasis on Shrines and Pylons. “Diablo 3” Season 18 can focus on this aspect and maybe bump its duration longer.

This would at least ease the burdens on players who are clearing Greater Rifts, providing additional bonuses to wipe trash mobs and summon the boss. Of course, if the developers implement this on “Diablo 3” Season 18, balance should be considered, Blizzard Watch reported.

Diablo 3 Season 18 could put emphasis on the Shrine/Pylon mechanics

So how do you balance a Shrine or Pylon duration? Here’s where the Gloves of Worship comes in. While the legendary item increases a Shrine’s duration for 10 minutes, it doesn’t affect Pylons at all. “Diablo 3” Season 18 could play with this and have the item affect Pylons as well. A conduit Pylon spawning, for instance, would tremendously lift the burden for mob clearers, blasting everything on-site so that bosses appear quicker.

A Shrine/Pylon theme in Diablo 3 Season 18 would benefit everyone

This would allow the team additional minutes in dealing with whatever boss spawns and give the RGK of the team some breathing room to work their magic. The team would still need to be on point with how they’re handling the boss, especially for the RGK. This suggestion would also play nicely to the growing disappointment of the Barbarian community who has been essentially left behind by the Legacy of Nightmares. Put simply, “Diablo 3” Season 18 taking the theme of the Shrine/Pyon wouldn’t just benefit one single class, it would benefit everyone across the board.

Of course, it’s important to remember that this is only a suggestion at this point and there’s no telling what Blizzard has cooked up for the game’s player base in the upcoming expansion, which brings us to its release date. While the studio hasn’t announced anything yet, “Diablo 3” Season, 18 could arrive sometime this fall, perhaps on Nov. 1 or 2 since BlizzCon is slated to take place at this time.
